TVEC II "Quad" Version
TVEC II-Quad was tested on A Macintosh G5 dual core with 4GB RAM, a Macintosh quad core with 13GB RAM a Macintosh 8 core with 10GB RAM and a Macintosh 8 core "Nehalem" with 16GB RAM. We could load all of the instruments on all machines tested. Dual core Note performance was low on the G5, but not unusable if freezing or bouncing tracks. Quad core: All instruments coulld be loaded. CPU performance was good, but sometimes spiked when live-playing very large chords. 8 core: All instruments could be loaded. CPU performance was very good, and never spiked. 8 core Nehalem: All instruments could be loaded. CPU performance was very good, and never spiked. Even live playing using the most "hungry" features of DivisiLive® and VibratoLive®, performance was good. Recommendation: To fully utilize the Quad version of TVEC II, the minimum system should be a quad core with 8GB RAM. |
TVEC II "Triple" Version Using the 4 systems mentioned, performance was good in most situations on the Quad core and both 8 cores. Using VibratoLive® tended to spike the CPU when playing large chords using the G5 and Quad core. |
TVEC II "Double" Version Using the 4 systems mentioned, performance was good in most situations on the Quad core and both 8 cores. Using VibratoLive® tended to spike the CPU when playing large chords using the G5 and Quad core. |
TVEC II "Single" Version Using the 4 systems mentioned, performance was good in most situations. Using VibratoLive® tended to spike the CPU when playing large chords using the G5. |
